The Titan™ non-surgical facelift system uses gentle infra-red heat to target the water in the skin in order to affect a “healing response”. This skin tightening technique encourages increased collagen production together with the remodelling of existing collagen; the supportive underlying tissues of the skin contract at the same time, resulting in a tighter appearance to the skin and visibly noticeable wrinkle reduction.
Infrared skin tightening technology is superior because it provides an even, controlled heating of the tissue with less risk of post-procedure contour irregularities; some procedures utilising radio frequency systems can cause burning and dimpling of the subcutaneous fat.
