How Does it Work?
Using a safe, infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface, Titan™ causes immediate collagen contraction. At the same time, the skin’s surface (epidermis) is protected by continuous cooling with the Titan™ handpiece. For some time after treatment, new collagen growth results in further skin tightening and the development of a more youthful complexion with less lines, folds or looseness.
What makes it unique?
Titan™ utilizes light energy as it provides a more uniform distribution of energy for heating the deep dermis than other energy sources, such as RF (radio frequency). Does my skin type matter?
As we are heating tissue under the skin’s surface, patients of any skin type can be treated. Men and women of all ages have been successfully treated, although collagen production is severely reduced in the over seventies and results may be less noticeable. How many treatments are required?
A single treatment has produced very good results for some younger clients, although we recommend three treatments one month apart for optimal results. Our qualified therapist will advise you on the number and frequency of treatments that will be best for you.
Are there any side effects?
Immediately after the treatment you may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area. Both should dissipate within a few hours. Our qualified therapist will explain the full benefits and risks of the procedure to you.
How quickly will I see results?
Many clients see results immediately, with further gradual improvement over a three to six month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens. The improvement has lasted for over two years in many cases, depending on individual lifestyles.
Does it hurt?
With each Titan™ pulse, you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some clients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand, but most are fine with nothing.
